We’re showing up as a Queens Says No Kings contingent at the Jackson Heights Pride Parade, and this is where it starts: building bold signs, large visuals, and pushing into some 3D pieces so we hit the street loud, visible, and impossible to miss.
QUEENS PRIDE PARADE CONTINGENT
June 7, 10:30am – Meet near the former T-Bone Diner, by the subway elevator on the south side of Queens Blvd, about 50 feet from Continental Avenue.
Stand up for Pride with your neighbors in Queens by joining the Queens Says No Kings contingent in the Jackson Heights Pride Parade. We’ll move through the route together as a visible, united group, holding our space in the street from start to finish.
Bring a sign if you have one, or just show up and join in — you’ll find us and step right into the group.
Wear something you’re comfortable in, be ready to walk, and plan to stay together as we move through the parade.
This is about being there, together, and taking part in something larger than any one person.

Join us for a hands-on Voting Rights Training with Nia Alvarez-Mapp of Common Cause and youth voting rights organizer Nova Wittenstein Brent.
This is not a lecture. It’s practical, grounded, and focused on what we can actually do — right now — to protect and expand access to the ballot.
We’ll cover: • What’s happening with voting rights locally and nationally • How voter suppression actually shows up on the ground • How to talk to voters and support registration and turnout • The role we can play in Queens in the lead-up to upcoming elections
Whether you’re brand new or already organizing, this training will give you the tools, clarity, and confidence to step in.

Join us for VOTEFEST — a community-powered afternoon of voter registration, civic education, and creative action in Queens.
At a time when access to the ballot is under pressure across the country, increasing voter turnout is one of the most powerful ways we protect our democracy.
This is a non-partisan, family-friendly event focused on making participation real and accessible. We’re bringing together local organizations and neighbors to help people move from intention to action.
What to expect:
🗳️ On-the-spot voter registration and status checks (with QR-enabled volunteers) ✍️ Hands-on support to complete and submit registration forms correctly 🧭 Help building a personal voting plan 📚 Clear, practical information about upcoming elections
